All required car hire insurances
All required car hire insurances like 3rd party responsibility, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), TW (Theft Waiver) and Bail Bond (where applicable) are included in our car hire rates. The vehicle's car hire insurance is subject to an insurance excess value : When you collect the car hire at Moss Rygge Airport, you'll be asked to leave a credit card deposit to the value of the car hire excess : (Depending on the type of car you select) between EUR 800.00 and EUR 1200.00. Providing you return the vehicle undamaged at the end of the car hire, this value is returned to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the car hire insurance excess value. Local car hire taxes & airport charges.
Our car hire rates at Moss Rygge Airport are fully inclusive of local sales taxes (19.00% in Norway).
Arrival times for your car hire.
Our car hire rates include service on arrival at Moss Rygge Airport within normal office hours (08:00-21:00). If your flight arrives outside these times, there is a surcharge of EUR 20.00. This car hire surcharge is payable locally on arrival at Moss Rygge Airport.
Fuel is not included at Moss Rygge Airport!
The fuel that you consume during your car hire is obviously not included in our our published car hire rates! On arrival at the Moss Rygge Airport car hire station, you will collect the car hire vehicle with a full tank of fuel against a credit card deposit. At the end of the car hire, return the car hire vehicle with a full tank to Moss Rygge Airport to get a refund.
Insurance Excess deposit.
As explained above in What's Included, the car hire vehicle's insurance at Moss Rygge Airport is subject to an car hire insurance excess deposit (depending on the type of car hire vehicle you select) between EUR 800.00 and EUR 1200.00. Providing you return the car hire vehicle undamaged, this value is refunded to your credit card in full. In the unlikely event that you damage the car hire vehicle, your maximum liability is limited to the deposit paid.

Lost car hire vehicle keys.
Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If you lose the car hire vehicle's key, you will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately EUR 150.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting you with a new vehicle key. More importantly, your holiday car hire at Moss Rygge Airport may be seriously affected while you wait for a new key to be prepared for your car hire vehicle. Please take good care of the car hire vehicle key while you're on holiday in Norway!
Using the wrong fuel type for your car hire vehicle.
Putting gasoline into a diesel car (or vice versa) requires the engine to be stripped down and cleaned. If you put the wrong fuel into the car hire vehicle at Moss Rygge Airport, expect a hefty garage bill and several days with your car "off-the-road" while the car is repaired.
Blow-outs are at your own risk
If you have a puncture during the rental the car hire company will hold you responsible for the repair/replacement cost. All our cars are delivered with a road-worthy set of tyres which are inspected prior to each delivery. Typically, bad parking or driving off-road are the most common causes of punctures during a rental period.
Off-road or negligent use.
Our car hire vehicles at Moss Rygge Airport are rented for use on the public highways of Norway. They cannot be used off-road. Although a very rare ocurrance, we'd like you to be aware that damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle, frequently caused by negligent driving or off-road use at Moss Rygge Airport (we have had occasion to have to lift car hire vehicles out of dried-up river beds!) is your responsibility. Drunk driving a hire car is considered negligent use.
Traffic fines.
Traffic fines, speeding tickets incurred at the wheel of your car hire vehicle at Moss Rygge Airport are at your own risk.
Vehicle glass & locks.
It is a sad reality that in most holiday resorts in Norway, auto-theft is a day-to-day ocurrance. If you park up the car hire vehicle with personal items inside and, as a consequence, the glass or locks are damaged in an attempt to steal your personal effects, you will be responsible for the associated repair costs to the car hire vehicle. We strongly recommend that you park the vehicle in supervised car parks/garages in the major cities and never leave any personal item inside the car hire vehicle.
Damage to the vehicle's underside.
Damage to the vehicle's underside is the responsibility of the renter. Although a very rare ocurrance, damage caused by driving off-road, impacts from rocks or other items to the underside can cause considerable damage to the vehicle. If this situation arises, you will be responsible for the repair costs.
Infant Seats
Infant seats are suitable for new-born babies until approximately 6 months of age. Infant seats are normally available on car hire vehicles from Moss Rygge Airport on request. There is a charge of EUR 3.60 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Moss Rygge Airport. You must reserve infant seats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Baby
Baby seats are suitable for young children from approximately 6 months of age until 2-3 years of age. Seats are supplied for car hire vehicles from Moss Rygge Airport on request. There is a charge of EUR 3.60 per day for these seats which is payable on arrival at Moss Rygge Airport. You must reserve infant seats at the same time as you reserve your car hire.
Additional Drivers
You may add additional drivers to your car hire on arrival in Moss Rygge Airport. These are payable locally at Moss Rygge Airport at EUR 18.00 per rental.
Buy-out of the Vehicle's Insurance Excess
The car hire vehicles at Moss Rygge Airport are sold with an insurance excess. This is explained in the section Whats's Not Included? above.Instead of leaving a credit card deposit to cover your car hire insurance excess at Moss Rygge Airport, you may opt to purchase additional insurance locally to "buy-out" the excess value - effectively removing your liability for vehicle bodywork damage. This option, depending on the car hire vehicle selected, costs between EUR 32.00 and EUR 32.00 per per day. You do not need to prebook insurance excess buy-out, simply decide and pay locally on arrival at the car hire station in Moss Rygge Airport when you arrive in Norway.
Purchasing insurance excess buy-out is not a "licence to kill" and you will still be responsible for items like tyre, wheel, glasss or damage to the underside of the car hire vehicle. The car hire company may still require you to leave a credit card imprint to cover extensions to your car hire contract or traffic fines. See our section What's Not Included for further details.
Out-of-hours charges at Moss Rygge Airport
For arrivals at Moss Rygge Airport outside of normal office hours (08:00-21:00), there is a supplement of EUR 20.00 payable on arrival in Norway. For arrivals late at night you must provide us with your arrival flight number into Moss Rygge Airport so the local car hire station can coordinate it's office hours at Moss Rygge Airport.
